Wakaan phenom Subdocta dropped off a mystifying bass medley justifiably titled Crystals & Kombucha. In a unique two-part format, this piece transforms to the power of hip hop and bass.
Part one of this elixir is deep and bustling until LA rapper Reverie introduces her relief. The tone her voice shares with the deep bass blasts could not be more properly matched. The bars perfectly assimilate with the beat, creating a crunchy new SubDocta anthem that’s destined to slap as festival season begins to reboot.
SubDocta takes part two down a solo, more aggressive path. This is where the dubaholics among us will find their fix. Guttural bass jumps to the top of the production, laying waste to everything that came before it; only to restart when you least expect it. The reflective nature of these two tracks opens up lots of potential for creative mixing, and we love the idea of these two matching tunes as for a release!
Don’t sleep on this live set staple in-the-making. Check out Crystals & Kombucha below and stay locked for more heat from both of these rising artists.
